2Lt Combi Engine into a Beetle Conversion.

Post by Andre »

Hi Guys

In short, Is it possible, and if so, what would the hick-ups be installing a 2lt Combi motor into a beetle? (Well, a JEEP replica). Space should not be problem.

Thank for your advice!

If space is not a problem then all you need is to change the flywheel & clutch assembly, block off the fuel pump and get an electric fuel pump.
You need a 200mm T4 FW hard to find from a 1700cc variant or a 210mm T4 Fw from a 1800cc bus or a 215mm FW from a 1900cc watercooled bus.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......
