Sounds like a great weekend bonding with the bus.....I'm jealous as mine's not there yet for longer trips....aiming for end of Jan for the George Car Show Run.

Nice one! The Westy is looking great.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

That's about as long a trip as I would try at the moment. The steering is still very vague and will need to be properly sorted as well as the throttle linkages. I am definitely aiming for George in Jan, it would be nice to meet you guys there.Dutch_Diver wrote:Sounds like a great weekend bonding with the bus.....I'm jealous as mine's not there yet for longer trips....aiming for end of Jan for the George Car Show Run.

Thanks, beetlefanatic, the photos flatter it a little. There is still a lot of work to do. But, just like travelling in one of these, restoration is all about the journey, not the destination imho.beetlefanatic wrote:Nice one! The Westy is looking great.

I'll start a CPT to George thread so that we can see who's going and get the details together for a convoy nearer the time!

I can't believe I only noticed this thread now!!! Awesome Westy & definately something to work towards, reading your posts here I realise I am in the same boat that you were in, definitely some handy info there.
When I'm "finished" with my resto I want one of those Westy tents they could be very handy for my camping trips.
