Looking for a good mechanic in CT

Post by osvw »

I have 2 Vee-trouble-yoos giving me intermittent problems and need somebody with more knowledge than me (though that isn't difficult) to sort them out before I lose my cool and convert them all to Ford powerplants! (just kidding).

1.7 L and 2.0L Kombis.

If anybody can reccomned a good, cheap, reliable mechanic, please let me know.
(I'll settle for two out of the three requirements)

Cheap and reliably bad at his work? ;)

Ask for Frank himself. Dont have a contact number with me (dont need it in Germany). Woodstock or there abouts. His details were once upon a time in the networking section... if not, contact Thumper on this site, he's got them

In the end I used a guy called Herman, on 083 253 1920.
I found his contact details on the CT Beach Buggy Club website.

I tried to contact the other guys reccomended, but one never returned my call, one was on holiday, and one couldn't book me in for the next three weeks (sorry, I forget which was which)

Anyway, Herman knows his stuff, and sorted out 2 of our Veedubs.
