Since the rear suspension was butchered when I got the bus, I opted for a Bay rear suspension, already fitted.

I took a vrot Bay, tipped it on its' side, and went moggy with a cutting torch.

This was the result.

Then, Jan kindly tied the sub-frame as per the pic to the bottom of the bus with some wire. I still need to weld it all in place, and add additional strengthening to the main rear brace. I measured wheel centres, etc. and it works out perfectly if you use the main rear cross beam as your reference.

…another victim. Sorry to hear about the bus. Tell me about it! I finally got my bus back from Jan, supposedly finished after 11 months

Also looking for someone to fix and finish the job… loads of missing parts!

But I’m tooooo happy to have my bus back

Now that is what I call a "Real" split bus
Nice for a "shorty" weld the 2 ends together, getting the wheels in could be a problem. :D
