Hi
I had this idea of doing a project of restoring a car and bought myself this bus, but never realise how much work goes into a project like this see photos as I only started on the body.

Nice, see you are putting lots of effort into the bodywork. Lots of surface area to prepare on a camper.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.

That is a very interresting bay.
It is obviously a late Bay,but it has the body of a Split.Am I wrong?

Definately a Brasillia, pitty about the roof.
Hold on to that bus....quite rare and worth a lot as it is!!!!......................

The Brazilia has the corner windows in the back.Icvan's bus doesn't have those.

I don't think there were any windows on the sides on this bus originally....looked like a Brasillian type but panel van and not bus.
So it's the only one of it's kind in the country then ??!!

Know a guy in Jhb who had a yellow/beige Brasilia panelvan camper in the eighties. Brasilias were available as panelvans and bakkies as well.
Baywindow panelvans were available with high roofs from the factory.Not sure about Brasilias.
High roof can be useful if used as a camper,especially if the owner is not short.

Hi Guys
Glad to her your comments and much appreciated as I did some research on this and could not fine any other bus like this on the web. The roof is indeed a factory fiberglass roof and the bus have all the original cupboards, sink, place for the stove and fridge. Some more photos on the body

I think that Pine knows of a Brasilia Bakkie, somewhere close to De Deur?

The front looks exacly the same as the 1975 Transporter (but not the roof).
