We(me and BAB) took the 1600 engine out the Fasty I bought and we put it in the Notch.

The Notch engine took 18 min to take out and the Fasty engine took 11 min.

Took my car to an auto elec and we found out the the armature is burnt. Can't find a replacement part for it,so we had to make another plan.

So we took a Beetle gennie and machined the rear tip off where the fan would go.The rest of the armature is exactly the same. So,we'll see tomorrow if it works.

Why don't you just convert it to an alternator?

Image

The conversion above was done by using an alternator from a Denso forklift, same alternator was also used on some toyotas etc

I think that a a beetle alternator could also be used, but you will have to cut some cooling slots in it :?
If it's too low, you're too old
