Lovely car. I just love the '69 Beetle, they are like the best of the lot.The smooth decklid looks very cool! I was supposed to a '69, but the deal fell through
BTW, is your car parked during the day next to that shop in Centurion which does choppers and custom bikes? There's always a blue Beetle with TSW wheels and one that looks exactly like yours parked there

The steering wheel I got from a customer's "grey imported" Mitsubishi Pajero. I swapped it for a standard Colt steering wheel. The steering adaptor I got from Black Rock Racing in Voortrekker Road in Pretoria.

Yes the car that you have seen is mine. The blue one belongs to my partner in crime. Now that you know where I am, feel free to stop by the shop.

Super sweet rides you guys have! I think that they were also at Cars in the park last year?
I'll drop by when I'm in the area again...

Yes, we were at Cars in the Park last year.
Plan to attend again this year - 3 August at Zwarkops raceway.

Is there a specific name for that shade of green? It is realy something special. There was a d/c Bay with a cream leather interior in an old issue of UltraVW, and it looked very nice! Unfortunately this is the only pic I could get of it:

The colour is based on the green that was available on the 2005 Fiat Palio. It was mixed for my by the guy that painted the car. Unfortunately he has gone out of business. It was the closest to 1969 VW Bottle green I could find.
