Beetlefanatic`s Cabrio

Post by Bugger »

While Bernard is galavanting across the Globe slaving away I will be doing some work on the bug

So far not much was done but it was respryed and I am buzzy with a drop front end with disc brakes and Braided hoses

The Ideas that Bernard invisions with the bug at the end result are good and this cab is going to be just as stunning as my own if not better with Induviduality tuches

Will keep you all posted
Now I need to sharpen my skills to load pics directly on the site and not first on Photo Bucket then here

He he he I've helped push that same Beetle in and out of your garage a few times, would love to see it move on its own power for a change

Ok here is one of the first pics after the roof was choped and chassis was strengthened and replacing the passenger door the water drain holes were blocked so there was a dam in there and the door was starting to rot at the bottom
Also lighn the door gaps up before it gets painted coz sometimes you need to play with the door hinges by heating them up and moving them to the desired gap you want

Image

Also the bug was striped completely especialy the wiring as that is mostly left behind on resprays

As you can see it was a storage bin for a while as well

This is some of the parts that has gone for Electroplating a whole drum full just to ad some sparkle to it

Till later :D

And no Pick`n Pay stickers only some flashing seatcovers haging out the sides :drunks:

Thanks Pierre for all the help. I really appreciate it. At least I know it's in good hands. :hangloose:
I sooooooooo wish I could be there to do this myself or at least to help. :crying: :crying: I have been dreaming about building a new bug for so long, but I guess someone has to earn all the bucks to pay for it

After the 2 seatcovers at home sees it, I don't think I'll be allowed to drive it, never mind with any other seatcovers hanging out . :flash: :whip:

Two ways of sorting out that problem :D

1. Mail pictures to me - blitzvw AT gmail DOT com
2. Use the "upload attachment" tab just below the window where you write your post :-

DUH! If it was a snake....
I'm always in a rush.
Here goes nothing.

I wanted to put these on, but pcd of the discs are 4x100, so I think they'll go on the Bay
big_RX.jpg
and I'll put these on the Cabrio.

Maybe not in chrome but aluminium colour.

What do you reckon?

Not yet. Asked the seatcover to get a price for me and then get a prescription from the doctor for heart pills.
