My 63 Notch

I have been negotiating and paying the last couple of weeks on a Notch that I have been interested in,and now finally she's mine.And thanks to Wentzel got my first pics to share with you.

There are a couple of things that has to be done,but that's to be expected.The car is complete,and the OG engine is being replaced.The car is almost rust free.

I have already ordered a couple of parts from calooker.Unfortunately the nose has been cut to fit a grill for a radiator,but it's no train smash.The wheels are 356 :D

What engine has it got at present? You can keep that grille for the aircon ;)

The engine that will be in there is the OG 1600 engine with a EMPI exhaust systym.

Apparently the PO said that the car can do oner 90mph!

That would be indicated 90 yes :)
Max speed for the 1600TL 83mph according to the 1966 Autocar test in front of me. :mrgreen:
Pop a T4 in there and you can do this ... or more http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/media/speed.mpeg

Very nice, Chris! You'll have great fun with it, but just keep an eye on the rear window when Calooker is close to it :twisted:
