The Serpentine...courteousy of Mr. Rowley.

Sadly, the wrong crank pulley was sent, but we're exchanging this week.
Mine had to be slightly customized to fit my engine block...bigger scroll.
My recon'd beam...new arms, new 'joints, new custom avis adjusters, fresh powdercoat.
The 'coat got a bit damage during transport, so it may be sent in again with the pan.
...and I'll probably replace the bushings and bearings with my urethane fittings.
I'm going back to stock profile from the PO's 40...so I'm a bit nervous about clearance issues...in which case I need to start over, and have the beam sent to CT again for narrowing.

The chassis starts this week

Last chassis order with electrical bits, etc. arrives this week, along with my other gearbox sideplate, so the 'box starts soon too.
* IRS conversion
* Beam issues
* Brakes (new calipers at the back, and braided hoses this week)
* Full new electrical system
* Powdercoating plus retapping all holes
* Metal replacement
* Axle upgrades
* New Urethane fittings
* Dash graft to fit the modern deck hack
* Engine bay graft to fit rotten rails
* New door panels - wicked idea!
* New pedal cluster
* Zinc/chrome plating of various chassis-related goodies
* Engine paintwork
* Various chassis paintwork

Some pics from earlier this year...
The 1200 'box which has become a donor to the new customized IRS 'box.

The old parts...stripped...awaiting upgrading...
Some of the kit there...stronger Type 3 rear axles, old 'box, all the Shite from the pan, etc.

The pan has now had an IRS jig made for it, and will be finished and ready for powdercoating next week.

I couldn't understand why I struggled to hit 120 in my bug...until it got stripped and we found a 1200 in there.
We're using some of the internals in my new 'box.
A converted Brasilia 'box, which will run IRS, with some very neat mods to it.

It's primarily a robot racer and general chuck-around toy, but I'm planning on around 150/160 odd top-end if all goes well.
That would be my mate and metal-working guru on my project.
I don't fancy posting pics of people without their knowledge/consent.
