Chassi number

Hi all.

I'm in a bit of a situation. I've rebuilt a beach buggy and want put it through road worthy but there isn't a chassi number . .....

If anyone can give some advice please. 082 754 7408

1st you need to go over the chassis very carefully and see if you can find a number.

The original VW number is just forward of the inspection lid for the gearbox selector shaft bush.

If nothing there, then see if you can find the SAPS stamped number it long about 17 numbers and nearly always near the back wheels on a solid section of the suspension.

If there is nothing, then you go to the license department and ask for a Police clearance form,

take all the invoices and receipts you have for all the bits and parts you bought and go to the SAPS clearance yard in your area.

You may have to get affidavits from the PO stating that he was the owner of the buggie and he sold it to you as well.
