And some other work I have been doing in the background.
Some more parts added to the engine, but not yet completed.
Distributor plated, carb and fuel pump cleaned and polished with aqua blasting. Loose parts plated and assembled.
Parts plated and getting ready for assembly.
Handbrake, pedals, steering columns etc
Airfilter rebuild.
Front suspension rebuild.

And now for the best part, when final paint is applied.
First painting job was done on the inside. The sealing wax red is looking good, although its colour seems to change a lot depending if its inside or outside in the sunlight.
Here you can see the underside grey as well, I forgot to take pictures when we sprayed the underside.

That looks fantastic. Where did you get the upholstery material?

Re: My 1960 SO23 Westfalia
It was quite a search. My Upholsterer eventually found it.
The textures and consistencies of the run of the mill vinyl's we have here in SA are not correct. I gave my upholsterer an original sample and said not to come back until he found the correct colour and textured vinyl. I think the company was in PE, but I will ask him.

Thanks Sean. I've been looking for correctly textured vinyl for some time.
