My First Project - A Beach Buggy - BACK ON!!!

Post by natbro »

This will be my first project ever. I don't exactly know what I am doing but I'm sure I will learn as I go along. I have the Heynes manual as well as How to keep your VW alive. I am really looking forward to completing it sooner rather than later, but that will depend on $$$$$$$.

This is my baby,

and this is why I'd rather build a buggy than fix her up.....

I am busy stripping her now so that I can have a look at what the state of the chasis is. Will keep you guys updated.

PS: any advise gladly accepted.

I finally finished stripping the body off the chassis. I used a hacksaw and a hammer and chissel to chop up the body

Next up cleaning the chassis and then having it shortened. Who knows how long that will take. :D

Well, tomorrow I will be ordering the Beamish body. I will then need the chasis to be shortened, which the Beamish guys will do, then sand blasting and galvinising. Haven't done much since the last update, was witing on $$$$$
