For the sake of peace in my home, I will from now on not state that I did this and I did that,as it was a team effort. My son is complaining that I don't mention all the help that he is giving me. So here is what WE did this weekend.
Just a pitty when he drives with my car, he tells all his buddies its his You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Just need to finish the wiring the week-end. Then this beetle is ready for the road. Still needs to name the bug. Any suggestions?

Hi Guys,
just a few pics to update. So as you can see this project draws to a close.(Do they ever? Lots to be done still!) Want to do a brake upgrade and redo the interior ect. ect. ect. But in the meanwhile WE can drive the bug. It is now time to start on my (read our ) bus project.

Re: 1970 bug. Updated pics!
Hi guys and gals
So after doing about 80 000 km with the car, with the non adjustable, lowered front end WE finally decided to go back to a standard front end. Replaced the beam this week-end. Don't like the stance to much, but after endless repairs on the under side, water pipes ect. Decided that driving a lowered car on a gravel road is no fun. Remember, this car was originally built to drive on week-ends for fun, but WE decided it will serve a better purpose as a daily driver. So if any- one is interrested in a non adjustable front beam, you are welcome to have it
Cheers
Rick
