The vents at the rear, Yes. But not the scoops.
The grill at the front is to cool the radiator in the spare wheel well.
The scoops at the back are recommended for anybody that cannot set there timing correct, which causes the engine (air cooled) to get hot.
I had this issue until I sorted the timing correctly.
