New to the world of aircooled

Post by Benson »

We needed a vehicle to the Putfoot rally next year, so in my search I got of this old girl. for a bargain, if I can say so myself.
Now this would be a complete rebuild to accommodate 5-6 people, some luggage and a big fridge :-)
The engine is 1700 petrol, but not sure about the condition, as it is in pieces in the back of the van :-)
are these worthwhile repairing?? or should I look at fitting something else?

Hi there Benson

Welcome to the exiting world of aircooled!

Congratulations on the Van and keep the pictures coming.

In my opinion you should definetely go for a 2L engine.

Vdubtech in Johannesburg, Impi in Orkney and Gerhard Volksiemuseum in Bloemfontein can assist!

Enjoy your van!
