Beetle specialist in JHB

Post by Gman_beetle »

Hi guys

I know this topic has been covered in the past but apart from the PTA area I haven't been able to find anything recent for the JHB area so wanted to get current thoughts.

I am looking for a beetle specialist to help sort out some immediate issues on my car for me and to give some advice on a longer term restoration. Can anyone recommend someone in the JHB/ Randburg vicinity?

So far my research has come up with the following contacts, does anyone have any experience with them?

- Van Den Brink Motors (Randburg)
- VW Beetle Repairs (Randburg)
- Drive Rite (Joe) (Randburg)

Many thanks.

Get a hold of Pierre (Bugger here on the forum) he runs Bugger transmissions and Vdubtech, He'll be able to help you.. He's in Primrose and I think most of us here would recommend him before we do the three you mentioned..

Also try Tony from the old Volkworx. He changed the name,..its something else now, also Brian from Whichwood Motor's.

That pretty much covers the specialists in Jhb

You can also try Bruce in Horizon, Roodepoort, 0845021099.

If Van Den Brink's workshop is still run by Derk's nephew John, your car will be in good hands, but they can be pricey. I would personally not let Joe anywhere near any of my cars ...

Bill Noble: 072 110 2643.

Bill operates, primarily, from the Springs area and is personally recommended.

If this is Wild Bills new profession, then there is no point in looking any further.

That is Bill's nick. He relocated some time ago.
