My scooter???!!! rotf. no ways Tony.

I'll make plans to get to local meets in a few months. I'd like to get the Speedster sprayed at least, but as I don't use it daily, and can't really take time off work, this is proving to be a hard nut to crack.

So,
I managed to put one piece of Carpet along the Tunnel, and gave up after that due to the amount of sweat I was was dripping! It's not conducive to attempt manual labour in 33 degree's of Cape Town Summer. :?
Also, I don't think I have enough Carpet. Will contact them next week and hopefully the answer is positive. Not a major loss if not, just have to remove this tunnel piece. Hell but it's not an easy job? It's kak hard to bend around all the curves etc.. I might re-think this to a different, thinner carpet possibly.

Then, my fellow Speedster owner cemented the fact that my cars' lights are the wrong way round.. In fact, it was built like this.

Image

This is a pic from the Original owner. Note the Indicators are "in-board" and the brake and stop light "out-board".. So I made my new re-pop lenses based on this setup, which clearly is wrong!! On my car, this means I need to move the entire bulb Holder across, you can't simply swing the lenses round. So, that's another job for another day. for now they work.

Still waiting for the replacement linkage shaft from Dellorto in the UK, once that's here, I'm pulling this Single solex off. It's shite! Let's hope the Duals work straight away with minimal fuss. If I can at least get it to run, I can drive it up the road to Jesse Huggett at Killarney Gardens to balance. Then all should be good motor wise, for now.

off to Eden on the Bay for lunch.

Collected 30 Tanex Fasteners this morning from Fritz, nice gent who is the South African Agent for these catches, made of High grade Stainless Steel.. Excellent quality, and will certainly look grerat and function great on any Cabrio or Soft top. I'm making a rear seat "Tarp" to help close off the car at the rear, and keep the wind out, and also for the Roof when I finally get round to it.
