Re: 1973 Bug Restoration/modification
Thanks for the kind words Herman will definately try.
Latest updates on work done
Fitted the new windscreen and rear windows
Spent the whole Weekend on sound proofing, and carpeting
Sound proofing
Needed to make tool for the sound proofing, borrowed a wheel from my nephews scateboard and an old sponge roller
Carpets were test fitted, need to be edged before full installation
Still need longer weekends

will look awesome on the bug!You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

That gearlever looks like an EMPI quick shifter, Volkspares & places like that sell it..SteynC wrote:It looks awesome!!

Re: 1973 Bug Restoration/modification
The Gear lever is a JSP shortshifter (dont get them any more) the EMPI is an alternative, dont go for the T handle though tends to be top heavy and vibrates a lot.riaanj wrote:That gearlever looks like an EMPI quick shifter, Volkspares & places like that sell it..SteynC wrote:It looks awesome!!

I was lucky with the seats got them from (Benny) vwoldies R1500.00, refurbished and covered them in biscuit leather.
Door cards made them out of masonite, used a template from the old ones, glued 10mm sponge and covered them in biscuit leather.
Just some advise, dont rush to Volkspares as they not the cheapest, first check guys like (Rui) calooker, (Es) Grandslam or ask on the forum. Had I been on the forum earlier I would have saved thousands.
