Put the roof up in traffic this morning as it started to rain, by the next robot it had stopped so it went down again.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Not much on the cars - oh yes, I put a pint of oil in the bus.

What I did do though was overhaul the toolbox I got from Muds. Its now ready to be filled with tools.

I took the engine out of my bus for the xxxxth time this weekend, swopped heads, refitted the engine and refurbed 2 carbs now the one idles but sputters at high rpm, the other one wont idle but pulls like a train up to 5500rpm need to mate these two. Also had an interesting issue, when the motor gets hot it just abruptly dies, thought it to be electrical so I replaced everything with copper in it, didn't solve the issue, turns out it was the fuel pump, that's also why the oil is so thin, leaking petrol into the oil, not a good idea. By the way, I have developed muscles I didn't know of trying to balance a motor on a trolley jack and lining it up alone, the upside is I can change motors on my Bus in an hour already, getting very good at this. (changing motors, not so much the fixing part yet)

I erm.................took it down voortrekkers road last night.

Not racing, just been painting all day, so I decided to wash up and go for a sunday night cruise. I can't believe so many people still hang out in that street and who dice after all the accidents on that stretch of road.

Damn, she's just getting better and better, sorting out all the loose stuff now, so she's getting quieter and quieter. Time to make my exhaust a bit shorter and louder with twin porsche style exhaust tips now.

Took a day off work yesterday, went to the 1303 and fitted the rear wheels, torqued the hub-nuts, adjusted the brakes, went for a drive, got a hill and adjusted the handbrake, parked it again..
Then, put the Anglia's new GP plates & disc on the car, found to my surprise the very first number plates the Anglia had underneath the Newcastle ones.. How cool is that! 8)

Decided i would try to make my own dual carb linkage. After alot of measuring , drawing, cutting, grinding, drilling and polishing i ended up with this.
