My friend Tyronne Morris found this solid 1976 automatic baywindow and thought that I needed one in the collection. His selling point was that the bus was born in the same year as me. According to my calculations, that makes the bus 18 years old. I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised as to how well the bus drives. I have already pulled out the ugly carpets and will replace them with new ones today.
I would like to replace all the window rubbers. Can anyone tell me where the best place is to buy rubbers for a bay?
Ironically, those ugly carpets often preserved the original rubber mat below in a lot of busses - hope you have a lekker surprise there Wernher, but by looking at the wear on that shagpile, it seems the mat is gone ?

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
@ Deon Thanks for pointing me in the right direction with the window rubbers.
Thank you to everyone else for the well wishes. I must admit that a baywindow was not the first on my list, but this one is growing on me.
@ Paul The floor looks great underneath the ugly carpets, but unfortunately no original rubber mats.
