Re: Bluebird to `GruntY
I hope it wasnt just a case of itchy hands looking for a spanner and an nut to turn when you started the project. But it looks like you progressing well so dont stop...
I like Ron know Bluebird very well.
The DarkSide and Bluebird shared tar and sand roads a few times.. All of which Bluebird LOST!!
hehehe
I hope you know it is extreamly BAD LUCK to rename a bug. All kinds of things start going wrong. Back in the day my bug was called Jezzy (shot for Jezebel, yes from the Bible.. ok on hindsight maybe it wasnt the best name for her but she did live up to it rather admirally.) then it was reborn as TheDarkSide and we all know what curse that carried. Just ask HR he is still suffering transfer curse effects 3yrs after its death and that doesnt even touch all the other bugs effected by it. In the end I had to park down the road, away from others cause it was a garentee that if I parked close someone would have car problems...
Just a warning...

And yes, I've heard about the curse (s) of changing a buggy's name, but will just have to go with it

Ek sien julle kruip so op die knieë/hurke om die bakwerk, pleks jul plaas hom eers terug op die onderstel en kry daar al die voorbereiding klaar.

Re: Bluebird to `GruntY
It was Derek, the PPPO that named it Bluebird... First thing he did when we got Bluebird and Rumours together was drive up Rumours' ar$e, in his drive way. That was the last time Bluebird ever got even close to Rumours' a$re, even on the N1...hennels wrote:And yes, I've heard about the curse (s) of changing a buggy's name, but will just have to go with itIt was given the name by the PO, it would just now be the same

Speak to Anton Klein... see if you can make it an off road outing. Beach Buggy Club SA aka The Wildbuggers still do an annual Off Road Run, I think. Another fun one is the off road track on the West Coast road opposite Duynefontein. It's a lekker little track that with braai facilities etc.

And no, it's not a case of "itchy hands looking for a spanner and a nut to turn", you'll see

Some requirements for renaming a car.
1) For every cc engine size you need tripple the volume Jack or Olmeca Black.

2) 3 Chickens for sacrifice on the braai..
3) Ducktape.

4) 30m rope.

5) Assortment of whips, paddles, oil and toys..

6) 4 Loose Seatcovers not scared of bondage, 1 of which must be a virgin...

Use 1&2 together till nicely toasted.
3-6 must be used together in any & many different combinations to satisfaction. 1 can be used on 6 for plyability..

If you require further instruction let me know and Ill do it for you...
Messy business renaming a car properlly but someone has to do it...
