Managed to flip the kombi a week ago. Damn this thing is heavy. Took 5 of us to flip it over and managed to break the castor wheels

Would love to see the look on people’s faces when you open the garage and there’s a bug on its side!
Only need to fit the headlights and add some power!

Just a quick update, for some reason I have been unable to log into photobucket for a while now. The page does not want to open
Work has been slow but progressing. My dad has been fabbing up his own chassis sections, old section cut out and new one in.

I have no idea what the weight rating was

Progress have been slow. All the suspension parts have been cleaned painted and ready to go back on. About all the chassis sections have been made and is ready to be welded in.
Once thats done we will start on the body, and that looks fairly straight forward. Will post some pics next weekend.

Great job on the resto..Was good to meet you and your Dad last week.. Would like to pop around every now and then to check on progress and maybe get some inspiration for my resto, and some tips and tricks you might have to teach!! If that's all right with you?
Would like to have a good look at the rotisserie you built (want to fab one for my bus)

Hey !! Splitz, that "Flip Frame" is working well, much easier to do the underside work, less :bn: in eyes.

Keep up the good work

Unfortunately my dad decided to put this up for sale. He's just not getting to it.

Most of the rust from the underside has been replaced. Just need inner and outer rocker panels.
There are a few more rust spots here and there but not major. Front has a dent. Its got all drop gates. All seats with extra cab seat and 2/3 front seat. All glass are there and both front and rear bumpers all the other bits are there(headlights, flickers etc). Window channels are solid as well as the rain gutters.
Needs engine and rear valance, no papers.

Pm if interested.
