So jumped on the pics...

Now here's what I'm up to..

Removed the motor for a clean, checking plugs and oildrain. Main reason though is the flywheel as you would've seen... will be replacing the flywheel and then put everything back together again.

So lots to do still!

But getting there slowly!

Laters!

Something is not right with your tranny clutch setup??? :zhelp: looking at the pics ....... :puterwork:
You have a early tranny (unsupported thrust bearing) and a later clutch plate without a collar, you need a early pressure plate to mate things up correctly, did you drive the car with the current setup  ??? I think NOT.

What calooker said. But you can also convert the gearbox to the later setup - I have one of those conversion sleeves available if you want to go that route...
If it's too low, you're too old

Will also need to change the fork and thrust bearing, changing the fork with tranny fitted is a real pain as the return spring needs 3 hands and a fancy language to fit in place. Much easier just to change the pressure plate.

Looking at that Flywheel it might be possible that you still got a 6V starter in the Tranny and the reason why the flywheel was abused like that as you can see the bigger teeth marks in the flywheel
Have a look at the starter take it out and check on the side if you can see any markings 6V or 12V
If 6V you will need to change the starter to 12V and I do have conversion bushes to fit in the tranny to accomodate the 12V starter as it have a much smaller shaft size as a 6V
If you need help or anything give mee a bell

Very much a personal taste.....

Me, myself and I, all 3 of us, like the old type, but, that is because we know it like that.

With both on, the new shape ones are also nice.

Sorry for sitting on the fence, but after all, your car, you must be happy with it.

Its a type 3, so we love it anyway..... :D
