@FFFan, I was thinking of going the Porsche Cookie Cutter route for the wheels.... not quite sure yet.

Her engin is almost done and Jurgen from Grand Slam gave it a bit of a oompfh!
Hope she doesn't lift in the front when pulling away... hahahaha

Teaching oneself this skill takes a lot of dedication, patients (and errors) but I finally got it down to a tee.
Spraying a pearl metallic is no joke, so I practiced on respraying my old fridge and chest freezer hahahaha!!!

Go without a number plate in front, just don't get caught

I had the same thoughts and dislikes. So what I wound up doing is using the tow hook mounting point and made a screw in number plate holder. the number plate is rivited to an "integrated" part of the car without having to drill holes in my baby. Now I know you do not have the same tow hook point but there is no reason you cannot make a mounting point at the bottom of the nose and also run a screwed in arrangement. Plate when you need and no plate when you want to track/show the car

Thank you very VERY much. This will definitely do the trick!
I will devise such a device. Spoke to a friend of mine that rides a botorbike at ridiculous speeds and he has a similar device that tucks-in his numberplate when he pulls the cable. Needless to say that he never gets speeding tickets.
I am thinking of mounting the bracket under the nose tucking back the numberplate so that it faces towards the ground.
When I pull the cable, it releases the numberplate to face forward.

If you get it right then the number plate and holder will also act as protection for the front of your car. The number plate will scrape curbs and bumps before your body work will and give you some warning that you wont make it over that object.

That cable option sounds cool though. there are aftermarket kits that do that as well but they are motorized.

And you do not have to run those huge standard car number plates, you can legally use the motor bike size number plate (Like mine) so long as it has the SABS stamp/logo on it.

Elise if you want to use it in town and on the highway (It has a rear window that works), Exige if you want to run an intercooled supercharger and have no idea who is behind you or in your blind spot (battle to see without the functional rear window). I went Elise. But I would love a 2-Eleven one day.

Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction regarding the motorbike-type numberplate. I'm very excited about that.
Thought I only had the option of a standard size plate.
I like the idea of the motorized unit. Think I will first go with the cable and then later go for the motorized unit.

Both the Elise & the Exige are beautiful!!! But I now understand the rear view dillema.
I suppose that you would not require a rear view seeing that with that kinda power, you leave everyone in you wake..hahaha
