'40 - '41.

The '40 Ford pickup has more 'teardrop'-shaped headlights, and a totally different grill and nose

AFAIK in the second world war new cars were very scarce, from 42 to 45.(Chevys had split windows up to at least 48)

That 40's nose looks much nicer and more defined /sculpted than the other later model one.

Nice truck, the gold 40's ford looks like the nose has be modified to me.

From 48 the Ford pickups did away with the split screen.

WW2 was the main reason why these trucks did not change much in the 40's

In all probability this was an ex-army truck.
