mods please move if this is in the wrong section.

what work is needed to convert from a generator to altenator on a beetle? is it just a matter of fitting the alty and stand, or must some wires be fiddled with too?

Alty, stand and Alty pin for the fuel pump relocation. Some patience

The two different stand types make the fuel pump sit higher or lower thus there are different pins for the generator stands and the alternator stands.

So if you change stands then you need to change the pin to the opposite one you currently use.
