Custom cabriolet

Post by fig »

Seeing as there's so many real Karmann Cabriolets turning up at the moment, I thought I'd dig up pics of this custom cab spotted at Vaal Ou Wiele in 2010. The owner of this car built it from a rusted, pranged wreck of a 1302 cabriolet that he merged with a 60s Beetle. This won't be everyone's cup of tea, but amazing work nonetheless.

That is amazing work. The dash looks amazing and, for once, I like the split numbers.

He must be talking about the bumpers. I like everything about that bug except the number plate.

He went for the Speedster look, so the grill and exhaust is correct just like the dashboard. I must say that I like it and that it was really done well.
