1600 mild street engine buildup

Shweet engine Love those carbs... I looking for ICT's how much do you think it would cost me? carbs, manifolds and linkages?
I know all about finances, it really sucks.
hope to see the complete engine and power output on the engine soon

The carbs are nothing special, they are 32/34 pdsit solexes from a T4 2L motor but have been rejetted for my application, I got the manifolds and linkage from Dave. Altogether the carbs, linkage, manifolds,jets and air filters cost about R1600 which is a bargain compared to the R4000+ for the ICT kit

I don't know where else you can get an ICT carb kit besides FFR and Volkspares, but Dave has a nice 36IDF dual weber kit for a lower price than the ICT kit, send calooker a PM about the ICT carb kit, maybe he can help you out.

I hope to have the engine done by December so I can stick it in when im on leave, I hope to be getting that 4in1exhaust from Ron that Dave is keeping for me at month end.
After the engine is run in I while take it on the dyno just to see what it makes and to make sure the jetting is right.

This engine might be up for sale soon to fund hip reduction surgery for my 19 month old daughter.
I will sell it complete or break it up for spares, looking for around R7000 at least for it complete, pm me if interested.

The medical aid covers some of it but there is a shortfall of about R12000 that I have to pay in due to the specialist being out of medical aid rates

No there is more probably the physio fees and the fees for the two body cast replacements, I doubt the medical aid will cover much of that.
She has almost a full body cast on for the first 6 weeks then that gets removed in theatre then the legs just go in plaster with a stick keeping the legs apart mounted in the plaster thats on for another 6 weeks then after that its physio time just to strengthen the muscles

Damn dude, good luck and all best wishes to the little girl. I would buy your motor for R12K just so you can pay the fees. And then hold on to it till you can buy it back for 5 bucks! Really wish I could man.

Im very reluctant to put this engine up for sale but there are more important things in my life to consider now so my 1600 mild street engine is up for sale.

It still needs a decent exhaust, a set of swivel feet valve adjusters.plugs and plug wires to finish it off but otherwise it is complete and never been run.

Specs as follows:
AS41 TP Casing line bored .040" and full flowed
Everything Balanced
Crank ground .030"/.030" flywheel and crank 8 dowelled
Heads fully recon with new valves,guides,high rev springs and chromo retainers.They have been flycut 1mm to raise CR and are also mildly ported.
Flywheel slightly lightened with balanced pressure plate
Engle W100 billet cam with new followers and +2 cam gear
All new bearings
New pistons in rebored .020" over barrels.
Black powdercoated tinware
High Volume oil pump and oil filter adapter with all fittings and hoses
3 pin bosch alternator
Twin T4 solex 32-34pdsit carbs modded for T1 use on empi manifolds
with gauze air filters and custom linkage
Bosch SVDA Distributor with electronic points replacement module

Looking for about R7000 for the complete engine

I might be willing to break it up and sell the parts seperately if there is enough interest

It seems to me that this motor could be a bargain, considering that some places sell standard recon 1600 engines for R20k on exchange
