I found this clip of crashes at the Nurburgring from the 1970's. There is plenty of comedy handling here courtesy of aircooled VW's Why anyone would take a beetle (or any aircooled VW for that matter) to the track is beyond me, but the results are pretty predictable

That person who was thrown out of the door of that beetle also came out alright. Luckily that beetle never flipped.
