I also had the same issue - tank guage not working anymore, so had an aftermarket tank float and dashboard mounted guage fitted. I am not too happy with it, doesnt work so well, its too moody and jumps up and down as I take corners etc....

But I guess its better than running out of the go-go juice all the time.

Those lenses are readily available, I have a pair on my westy which the previous owner put on, I don't know who you can try up your way, Volksieshop perhaps, or else I could try Dave Rowley for you ?

(By the way it is "cargo doors" not barn doors on the side of the Brazilia and split busses, the very early splits had a longer than usual engine hatch which is referred to as a "barn door" :) )

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Nice bus, I really like the look of the small rear hatch :hangloose: :hangloose:
Like buggyfan said its illegal to have people in the back of a panel, its on my disk aswell. But hey I have never been pulled over with my bus.
My fuel gauge is also very jumpy, I do have a short somewhere as the battery is always flat so I think it might be the reason as its not earthing correctly.

does any1 have a number for dave rowley ???

Regarding the guage everything has been tested and checked by an auto electrician so its all in working order the only problem is the float ( while playing around with it , its only starts responding above half tank )
