68 Fastback- ex Rueben

Post by syncromad »

Hi All

here are some pics of the 68 fasty i bought from Rueben

i have changed the 5x205 drums to 4x130 disc's and drums, and fitted a set of repro fuchs porsche 2.0 wheels. thanks Zunaid, Blitz's cousin for the rims, they are awesome.

i also fitted a pair of red only tail light lenses, look better than the cracked orange and red ones, that were on the car.

For the rest the car is standard, as i got it, still needs a little work to neaten up and a service.

also just need the centre caps for the rims to be fitted, just having porsche logos done to fit the caps.

i also want to fit a set of yellow spots on front when i find a nice pair, and a reverse and fog light on the rear, have them but want the spots first.

What's the story with the funky camper in the background of the last photo? :)
"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car, and oversteer, the rear.
Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Was wondering the same thing.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

That is a gorgeous fastback, saw it last week at Morne's place. Love the full reds, they look really wicked on a white car. If you want clear front indicators, I've found some that actually fit and will be ordering soon.
If it's too low, you're too old

Thanks Rueben and all,

The syncro in back is actually for sale, belongs to a customer of mine, It is an ex FNB mobile atm syncro, FNB had 2of them with 2x Atm's fitted where the big windows are, my customer filled the "holes with windows, actually vey nice for camping etc in the wild, it has a bed in the rear with space iner for 2x spare wheels and 6x jerry cans , it has a rebuilt 2.1i wasser boxer, but with a raised rear engine compartment with fans in it, ready for a golf 2.0 conversion, the syncro used to stand and idle to supply power to the atm's while out in the rural areas.

Here are some interior pics, for those who wanted to see them. seats are all still great, as are the panels, just needs carpets and the wiring to be tidied up.
