Dirk, only the inlet manifolds are different, the carbs are the same. The short manifolds and flat air cleaners you need to fit these carbs to a T3 under the engine cover are available from EMPI. I just bought a set from Dave Rowley. Don't ask me for the price... 
The carbs + linkage are worth it. You can sell the long inlet manifolds to some unsuspecting wannabe Weber owner like Vader, and buy the shorties from EMPI.

Hi guys.. so i bought the above mentioned carbs from Pine. Today i drove my 1700cc rebuild with Engle cam... and it goes fine with the standard carb. so i guess what im trying to say is.. the Dual Dellortos are back up for sale... have not been used at all, still in the box i got from Pine .. R4000 and i'll pay for delivery
