TAUNUS TRANSIT

Post by RICKY-R69 »

Hi there,

Do anybody know of any running Taunus Transit like this one. I can get hold of a good body for R500.No papers or engine or gearbox though!

You can see the German influence on this as they were build in Germany between 1954 and 1965.Question is was they bay window derived from this design or what? I would like to know how many made it to S.A and how many are still around? They were also known as the FK1000

Don't think for one moment that it will be any cheaper than an air cooled to restore.. but that looks like something really special, it will take a lot of patience and dedication to complete, but then you'll have something quite unique, and a real head turner - bestaluck! 8)

I Googled it, and the first pic that popped up was an early Split version, with semaphores!

And a Dormobile...
