KGY611GP is a replica, this is one of nicest replicas around.
That 4cam motor must be one of the most beutiful motors in the world, that engine/fan cowl is really a work of art, I tried to buy one from this guy.
I am pissed off, cause Angelas is a Piston Ring this year, I looked so forward to it, but the Piston Ring grounds are kak to much dust and stones

Angela's makes me think of the old cars in the park venue........almost pointless spending ages detailing your car............

She's home..........The speedster was delivered yesterday afternoon on a flatbed. In was in my garage when it shot past my house and man it looked good. By the time that the truck made a U-turn down the road, there was about 10 people who were out of their houses looking at it being dropped off.
Brian, thanks a million for organising the flatbed, the price was VERY reasonable and the guy who dropped it off was very friendly and very professional.
Took it for a quick drive last night and it sure turns heads.
Work that will have to be done on it from what I can see is as follows:
1) Steering box or link & king pins, possibly both (set the nose down a tad)
2) Brakes have to be set down
3) Handbrake set up
I'm hoping to get most of this done over the weekend, so that I can sort out the paperwork next week and drive it legally.
Then I can start on the list of items that I need to get it to where I want. Should be fun. I contacted carerra motors in Jhb and just the script (7 items) that I'm looking for is going to put me back R6500-00 if I want the real deal. Knock offs in the is about R2000-00.
Stay tuned.

Loving life!! Congrats. Now the fun really starts! Will work on finding the scripts at a reasonable price. Will keep you posted. If nothing else, we can order together and at least save on the shipping costs.

Update: I went to brians place this weekend to pick up the speedster bumpers this weekend and got to see some of his other toys........very impressive.
Came home and jumped into some work. I had to remove the licence plate that had been double taped to the nose with about 2 rolls of tape. This alone took 3 hours to remove properly. I picked up the old bumper with the ali trim on it and a new bumper that hadn't even been drilled yet.

This was the bumper that was on the car.

I do have the ali trim and the end sections, but have removed them for safe storage for the meantime. I'm going to get this one repaired and resprayed and fitted back to the car as it fits a whole load better than the one that I've temp fitted for the meantime.

Replacement bumper on, Colour not 100%, but it'll do.

I've also decided to stick with the 1600cc motor that is in there at the moment as it runs nice and smooth and would run better it I can go electronic ignition and maybe some mild tweaks. This means that I've going to be selling my 2.0 type 4 motor to offset the costs somewhat.
Stay Tuned.

Looks good, - I prefer a "clean" car, no bumpers on at all,
But each to there own, Has your wife calmed down yet? or did she get a high speed whine and come unstable at high speed??? or is she happy with the car now?
There were more toys in the bottom garages you did not get to see
It was actually pretty empty when you were there, normally much more to see.
