Before I get crapped on for talking nonsense again, IT IS NOT FIBREGLASS, IT IS REAL METAL. I WAS JUST JOKING WITH BARRY

That should be okay then.

Thanks Frank! I think your dyslexia may be getting a little out of hand though - pretty sure you mean "dog"

The point is though that this kind of work is not beyond ANYBODY who is prepared to devote some time and patience to learning how to shape metal, and (I think I've done at least reasonably well with this part) who can take the time to develop an eye for flow and proportion. Believe me when I say that there is a LOT that could have been done better.

It ain't rocket surgery folks!

Thanks Ron
I guess you saw the damage on the rear from trying to load it on a trailer in the dark too then?
Oh well - I guess If I built it, I should be able to fix it!!

Hi Barry
Was the squaring of the bonnet and declid corners just part of your redesign or was there some other motive?
I noticed this and thought that it is cool to ressurect a feature only found on pre 38 vw beetles. the early prototypes also had square edges on the hood and decklid. the door hinges were also really rod like. For a whole discussion on the square corners please see the 38 thread on the samba. this is one of those threads that must be read.

No real plan or reason for doing it Armand - I'll check out the thread though
