Hi the oil filter will still fit and was the reason it doesn look exactly like a sebring on which the outside is based the inside is based on a few Photos of an edelbrock v8 muffler

Re: 2.0 KCC 356 Porsche Speedster
She's back at home..................I'm sure that Armand is happy to have some more space in his yard now. I can't thank him enough for all the work, from the pay as you go method with regards to buying parts and labour as well as all the extra's that he's done for me. Top notch guy, very stand up and I'm glad that he talked me into going BIGGER with my build.
One thing for sure is that there will be no-one locally with a motor-set-up like mine. Hopefully I can convince Armand to keep it that way...........but then again, money talks.
The car is an absolute BULLET on the road. There are a few tweaks to do, such as adjust the brakes, WD-40 the linkages as well as greasing the accelerator channel as it likes to stick a bit. She's loud..............very loud. I don't know if this is going to be a problem with the fuzz, I hope not, but if it is, we'll just have to make some changes, but at the moment, she's very strong and loves to rev. The exhaust has to be lifted maybe an inch to an inch and a half as I've caught it once and will no doubt catch it again at some stage. Above all, this car must be driveable.............no use in having a killer ride and I'm worried about taking it over a speedbump.
I'll post up a video tomorrow as I only got home last night late and didn't want to piss off the neighbours too much.

My motor is still a shelf of parts at IMPI's house. I have his loaner motor in there at the moment. 2.0 type 4 with a cam and that above mentioned exhaust........Blitzkrieg wrote:Hang on, did you fit the new motor already

Re: 2.0 KCC 356 Porsche Speedster
I think if I had to say, my exhaust sounds a LOT like the 4cam........
Carrera motor...........same growl, but revs up (if I may say it), much faster, you're doing 70mph in no time.
THIS IS NOT MY CAR OR MOTOR BY THE WAY.

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, not even close. Armand said about 6 months, that gives me time to get hold of a few more goodies for it as well.Blitzkrieg wrote:I see I see, for a second I thought that it was done and running![]()

Re: 2.0 KCC 356 Porsche Speedster
Just an update............mind got to thinking this morning at work.
Not going to change the colour on the car. I like exterior, but will be looking at going oxblood for the interior, looking at the 4cam video up top, I think that it looks the tits.
Just a few problems, Jim @ klasse356 can't supply the Carerra badges for the old price and there is no ways that I'm paying over R1500 a badge. So I'll have to look into that.
Floor pans: I've also decided that this saterday, I'm going to tackle the pans, there is a lot of overspray on them and very light surface rust which I want to remove before I can add the last of the sound deadening, so I'm going to have to clean them down and prep for some sealer. Shouldn't take too long as I've already removed all of the pads. So a clean up is all that's needed.
I've got to make a plan soon to get the dash pad and other parts sorted so that I can make a start on the interior as I would like it kind of done by cars in the park. That includes, the front of the car, new bumper supports front and rear as well as battery relocation and sparewheel. Now the search can start for an old style square weave carpet for her as well as some more trim.
The list of stuff to do grows.

I know mango pretty well, he's a member of the US speedster club that I belong to, that guy has some crazy skills and a very good eye for detail. I was looking at copying that colour..............at one stage.
