Goblin - looks pretty similar to the lights Blitz picked up for me. I will be using those on one of my other rods, but no reason not to use them for patterns to make something of your own.

I'll let this sit for a week or two before cutting back & spraying the satin clear.
Will get busy with wiring etc in the meantime :?

Here's one of the headlight buckets which kept me busy for so long - need to get my spinning lathe running!!
I found some 37 Chev lights in PTA which Blitz kindly picked up & shipped for me - unfortunately they didn't have the bullet shape I wanted (must be pick-up not car) so I had to make these. The other ones will go on one of my other projects

Soon now.........

just a metallic.
I'm less happy with it on the car than on the test cards, but we'll see when it's done.....

Oh my Barry,

In my opinion, this is what will happen EVERY time you go to a show with your rod:

Along with the tyre kickers will come the fender knockers with only one question on their mind:
"Hey Barry, how much fibreglass did you use to get this shape?"

Obviously there will be bloodletting straight after that. :twak:

"It's not fibreglass you dumb fcuk - I carved it from play dough and elephant turds"

Word to anyone doing their own spraypainting:
Don't use any of the blend-in or other similar type thinners if you don't know what the fcuk you're doing!!
Yes they work beautifully to kill the "dry" lines like in the middle of a roof. The also cause runs like crazy. If you are inexperienced and don't have your lighting set up to see EXACTLY how your coverage is, you WILL get runs. Rather live with a little roughness and orange peel.

The fun part is I knew this already!!

Pulled the door closed - I'll look at it again tommorrow before deciding if I'm gonna flat & reshoot, or live with it as is......
