I saw a Myth-busters episode where they Tested various lights for:
1. Startup Energy usage.
2. Continual Energy usage.
3. Longevity.

This was to debunk the myth that leaving lights on saves more energy than switching them off every time you leave a room.

To state it simply.

1. Leaving a light on uses more power than switching it on and off. That was across the bank for all lights.
2. Led lights used the least amount of energy by a factor of magnitude. On both startup usage and continual running.
3. In order to test longevity they placed various lights on a timer, that switched them on and off for 2 minutes at a time.
They left this running for a month.

After that period, the only light that was still working was... The Led.

But, the most important thing I want to know, is wither or not your company will be making LED lights for 6v cars.
I'll be needing some for my Fastback at some point, so I'd appreciate some LED lights that would fit in the sockets already there.

Viv - how about the led's that are mounted to a standard 1157/8 globe base? (or others for that matter)

Any chance of getting hold of these locally for a reasonble price?

Barry, not at the moment, however if demand for them is adequate,I will definitely look at getting some in, in the near future.
