Pulling the motor to get at the Release fork, it moved and clutch stopped working...

Pulled the motor this morn. Found the cir-clip tired and it got out, hence the shaft moved. More worrying is that the 2 clips keeping the release bearing in its place is nowhere to be found, wtf :huh:

Need 2 of those clips, chances are a new release bearing and a new cir-clip for the shaft.

Those release bearings are hard to find, so just a warning. And yes, i would replace the pressure plate. if its bent then it will affect the balance and could cause uneven pressure on the clutch.
From fastest to slowest:

Birkin race car, not much is standard
Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard
'75 SP 1600 with a few mods
B8 A4 Avant tdi, towing made easy
