Dutch,

Out of interest, considering you are taking this back to the uk, what rust prevention steps have you taken?

Every part has been sealed with anti rust and stone guard over the top! It's all done with the best stuff. I will also check each year and get any bits done that need it.... :D

What an inspiration DD, we will indeed miss you on these shores, however I am sure we will see you at acvwsa always. Your projects have been an inspiration. Keep it up my boy. Show those pomes what good air cooleds we have down south here. I do hope that you also inform them of our love for those who come to plough the reserves of ac's

Keep her running. I hope they do not end up in the garage for most of the time like most classic cars in the UK, and yeah, be carefull of that salt they put on the roads in the winter! Buggers wonder why their cars rust :retards:

Well done Frank and Grand Slam, and everyone else who had a hand.
Very happy for you that she is done, and with a few days to spare as well!
Looks like a good gathering. Nice to recognize some of the people I have actually met and some I have corresponded with.

Even the weather was perfect :hangloose:

Enjoy, and hope they both arrive safely in the UK. Dont forget the pics of the loading this side and unloading on the other side of the water!

Thanks everyone for the support and I appreciate that you have been nice to me even though I am taking the cars away for a time. The beetle will be my daily driver in the UK so she will be washed every weekend and I will proudly look after them both.

I will not be telling people in the UK the origin of the cars.....so don't worry!

Eben, I hope to be at Volksworld and TonyZ was mentioning today an event in Spa in July for Beetles which I would also like to attend so I'm going to find out more about that too.....
