loving life!! closer everyday!!

Took the liberty of driving up and down my drive way with no brakes just to remember what it's like :) . Put in a couple of screws here and there. Sorted brake fluid reservoir, now just to sort the brakes. Adjusted the front suspension up, and now in the process of starting to finish off the triming and stuff. Need to sort the floor (holes here and there) then soundproof and send for interior.

And now, i'll have a "cool" engine thanks to MR FFF...thanks again G, looks outstanding!!

Thats not a bad idea. i actualy have the old single circuit MC somewhere at home, and might still be good enough to go back in. I'll just need to bleed again, which should be ok. i might just take him up on that depending on how i go. Thanks Chris

well......well....well!! You learn something new every day. Had a chat with Dave today only to be told the issue with my travel on my brake pedal may not be an issue at all. I never realized there's a pedal height adjustment that has a huge impact on the amount of travel on the pushrod. Low and behold, i found the little &#Q&%$, pulled the pedals back a tad and it seems to be sorted. not longer does the pedal bottom out on the firewall!!! And all that took was 1 bolt, 2 min of my time, and i seem to have corrected something Berg couldn't fix. :hangloose: now just to take it for a drive and see if i have proper brakes now, albeit it might need to be bled correctly now that it has full travel.

Right then, we're making progress!! My new engine cowl has arrived from Mr FFF (Thanks again G, looks great!) I'm still missing tin for the engine bay, but i'll post something in wanted for that.

I've started vibration proofing the floor (Flashband it is) and popped past Sondor to collect some high density foam for the firewall and rear section. At R89 for a 2 x 1 m sheet, i dont really care if it doesn't work. Also started the finer things, below shows the rubber for the bonnet in, came out nicely actually. brake reservoir is mounted and i popped the carpet in just for kicks :) I'll take it to get a gas shock when it's on the road.

Also got the brakes sorted, thanks to Dave R. Quick pedal adjustment, modification to the pushrod (lengthened a tad) and i now stop pretty quickly. I'll give it some time to bed in the new brakes front and rear, and i'll adjust again just for good measure.

I've decided Santa is dropping off a car polisher for being such a good boy this year.

Also sorted most of the wiring again (At least everything works again, except the hooter) i'll still take it to an autolec, just to sort out the cobwebs under the dash.

So all in all it's looking good. will post pics as i go along, but things are speeding up now.

Thanks guys,

Perspective, a year later, almost to the day, and the realization that time stands still for no one, but can be fun and rewarding watching it go by!!
