Update!!

Got a set of widened rims from Bugz and they needed some attention, but I dont know exactly what I need to do, can I give them a rub down, then primer them and then just spray them, or is there more to it than that?

Help please?

Im not to clued up aswell, but I would sand them down with a very rough grit sandpaper, give a good wash to get rid of grease/oil and foreign bodies,(sunlight soap) spray primer and sand again with finer grit, give it a light ghost spray of different color than primer and sand again, all the dents and deep scratches will show. I dont know how to fill them as this is a wheel and not the body of the car, get them all filled, so its nice and smooth, light coat of primer again and then sand with high number grit to get it real smooth and then spray, thats what I do
sure the rest of the guys has some faster/better ways.

I won't say faster or better, but why don't you have them powder coated ?

That way they will look good for a long time.

Guys,

I took two of the wheels to a tire fitment place and tried to fit them with some rubber, but they leaked air, one in the join of the outter and inner rim, the other from the sides, the other two as in the picture came out nice, what can be done to repair these two wheels?

What you guys think of the one with rubber on?

If it's leaking from the joint on the inner to outer there isn't much you can do unless you want to weld the seem. If the air is coming out from the sides then usually a good rub with some wire wool works as the leak is usually caused by corrosion on the rim.

If you want a simple fix, fit an inner tube in both tyres. Then you have no worries on leaking air.

Quick question, will inner tubes reduce any performance of the tires?

I found a place in Boksburg that can repair my cars wheels, Mag Magic, seems decent enough, between 120 and 180 to repair and make airtight! Looks like I will be making use of these wheels after all!

The original set of smoothies and tyres are too tall for the car as the tyres are damaging the fenders a bit, so I will put the rostyles back on for now, so at least I can drive him around still!
