...Deadline week so using the old bug. Leapt in after a 14 hr day yesterday to go home. Ignition on. Push the start button.... nothing! Felt a cold sinking feeling from head to toe. Started the process of elimination with the ignition system to find the fault. Checked the immobilizer, key-switch and all wires to and from: fine. Jacked up the back and took a look at the wiring by the starter: found the little critter! A small red wire had disconnected from the solenoid - how? God alone knows but gave it a crimp and plugged it back on, dropped the car, got everything back in and then convinced the security guard at the office I was not stealing the car. Fired her up and away we went! I cannot complain really as this car has NEVER let me down and fortunately it was in the confines of the under-cover parking area where I work so no "main intersection cut-out" drama. Had to giggle at the poor thing as they like to tease us don't they?

Especially for Karma and Blitz, as promised, some pics of the bay's dash etc.

Dash with VDO rev counter and oil press, temp and volt gauges. I used the holes for the old speaker on the dash to route the wires through. So no new holes were drilled. All this is temporary until Betty get's her make-over. I just don't want to damage the new engine in the meantime.
