My '70 Lowlight SC

Post by Chris »

With the current disaster of my DC and the garage/dealer/bank,I needed to get transport to carry on working.

I nearly took over payments of a bakkie in Jhb,but then this morning got a call from someone who has a 71 lowlight SC.

He asked me if I was still interested in buying it.Well, after I heard what he wanted for it,I quickley made a plan and went to get it.

I'm now the new owner of my newest project.I can fix her up while also working with her.She has nearly no rust and no dings. The panels a pretty straight and all the dropsides are there as well. The load bed is ver clean and has hardly worked.

The PO had rosstyles on,but unfortunately it's not his,but it's no biggy.Engine is very sweet, and all the paper work is there too.

There are small things to repair, but it came from Jhb and there is no rust. It's almost complete with just a few small parts missing like the glovebox cover, and the tail lights will have to be replaced.

Other then that,it's a sweet ride.Bumpers are straight and even has a towbar fitted.

The tyres are the wrong size, but I do have others I can fit in the meantime.Window winder is stuck in open position, but that is simple to repair.Seats will also need recovering, but the rubber mat is OG and very neat.

Will post more pics later.

Congrats Chris! Cool find! :hangloose:

Much better than a POS T5.

Commercial models didn't come with glovebox covers.
