No, I'm not going to be a Coka-Cola advert, not unless they pay me big time. But I do like the deep red they have on their cans. Back when I was hoping to restore the Fastback I had the same colour in mind. Christn is already red, so it only saves me that much more trouble in getting the change of colour registered.
I'm also aiming to have all the interior buttons/knobs/trim re-done in aleminium. I have a solid owed to me, by a man that does or can do small aleminium work.
If I'm really lucky, he might be able to do it in stainless steel. *holding thumbs*
Ah yes, Monza red and Alu-silver, the two colours that I chose for Razor. Don't ask me where the Alu-silver went. Up in smoke first and gone in artistic licence second. That has just made my mind up, that air-brush artist needs to come back and do his shit right, i.e. the way I want it, not the way he wants it.
Wither or not Christn was going down to bare metal was a matter of debate, at one point the feeling was the she'd go down to bare where needed.
BUT! The decision has been made and finances prepared, it's final. She's going completely bare! With double NS1 treatment from front to back, inside and out, for both body and pan!
I'm so damn excited I can hardly concentrate on work!!!
I went to the upholstery shop and bought the vinyl I'll need to cover Christn's door panels, dash and arm rests.
I'm also having a whole host of buttons made with the same vinyl for the door panels on them, you'll see what I aim to to do with those
I also OVER WRAPPED the gearbox with 4 layers of bin liner and several layers of bubble wrap. Bugger is going to have a field day if he doesn't have a carpet knife handy
