Will down load photos when I am logged on with 3G via my cell phone.
Currently installing front disc brakes using the ATE ventilated and has a ridge line for not allowing gas build up under hard braking;
Just finished rear hub build, just need to get golf or Audi back callipers to make mounting bracket for rear disc conversion.
And guess what wheels I'm fitting?
Porsche 930 17' cup replicas (wides 7.5 jj and 7.0jj narrows)

What fan and shroud are you using to get the Type 4 into the Beetle engine bay? Standard cooling won't fitSuperbeetleNO244 wrote:Pine... What do you mean by upright conversion?

If it's too low, you're too old

Re: 1600 S with Type iv
Superbeetle howsit man. so have you done 1 of these killer conversions before? awesome move tho. but correct me if im wrong, but its not a simple drop in and bolt on conversion. you will need a new fan shroud. i suggest you start nailing the gurus onsite with qz. IMPI is your man, along with Bugger, Tony etc. sadly us durbz dudes dont have many mechs around us, or on the forum. enjoy. oh and POST PICTURES. its considerd an insult if you dont. haha.

More than meets the eye!

Re: 1600 S with Type iv
A 82mm Oettinger crank will never fit in to a Type iv these cranks are made for the 1.9 and 2.1 WBX watercooled motorsSuperbeetleNO244 wrote:Got a Type iv engine off a Box Panel Van,

Unless you are meaning to say you got a WBX motor and you need to fit a Radiator aswell

Re: 1600 S with Type iv
The crank shaft is from an aircooled 2.0L was there when the guy took out the crank. He said oettinger I suspect Scat. 2332 cc with 94mm bore... anybody got 101mm sleeves?
Photos are on my phone, put them onto my laptop last night will attach them later when the lazy IT guys come and debug my Trojan Hilder? Virus
SO Pier what boost you think I can run?

Re: 1600 S with Type iv
Was it you who built this engine? I somehow suspect you are not entirely sure whats in there...
First you say Oettinger, then 2 litre T4, then Scat.... which is it? Is the crank Counterweighted? Pics please.
BTW, 82mm with 94mm pistons doesnt give 2332.
As for how much boost, that would be regulated by the quality of pistons and CR
