Overhaulin Samba

Post by Chris »

I watched the show with the Samba done by Chip Foose.It was on Discovery this week.

They got the history spot on and the resto was good.

I have to say,I won't mind Foose overhaulin one of my cars.
Damn,I'm good!

I would love to know.

One thing I can say is that a lot of the purists don't like it.But as Foose said,it will stand out from the another Bus standing next to it.It will be,and is unique.

I didn't appreciate the Volkswagen badge on the front.....the stance and wheels are awesome. It's the first Overhaulin' episode I've seen where they didn't use a Foose designed wheel.

John I'm with you....missed the VW sign on front. I lived the wheels and stance but I also felt the indicators move down below the lights and the deluxe trim were wrong....I wonder if his safari windows leak when it rains?

Still, would love to see what he could have done with "Mo"
"MO" - 1965 Splitscreen bus --> http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/viewtopi ... =37&t=9305" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"BOBBIE" - 1963 Beetle --> http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/viewtopi ... 23&t=11338" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just watched it. Only thing I would be worried about is the exhaust tips that are too close to the cut-outs... How would they keep them still?
