New Forum for mature Enthusiast

Post by Eugene »

Hi All

For some time now we have been submitted to an Administrator and Moderators who IMHO have not had the best interest of the Aircooled VW owner/enthusiast at heart. Eben's immature attitude that all cars should stay in RSA and that anybody who dare sell his/her car to anybody but local South Africans are Exporters just got to me. Then Fig, who I considered a friend and after everything I did for him, had the audacity to tell me to “go play elsewhere” when I wanted to sell my cars! Well Christian, you should be careful what you wish for!

Now, for the open minded enthusiast/owner, I have started a new forum. No person, local or overseas based, will be turned away! You can buy or sell what you want to who ever you want. If you cannot respect other people for who or what they are, do not join!

I will be on a business trip until Tuesday but you are all welcome to join in the meantime. I have spoken to a few members and moderators will be appointed soon.

To Eben and his Mods….be mature enough not to delete this post, as I will have to retaliate!
BTW you will also be welcome on my site

Regards
Eugene

WTF?!!WTF?!!WTF?!!WTF?!!WTF?!!

SambaOwner... you should go for a career in politics... because you are now just being spiteful. I have a few concerns about what you said...

Firstly, IMHO, can't you see the point of trying to limit exporting of ACVW's? If you can't, well that's your prob. I'm not gonna explain something so simple... any site member will probably tell you that!

Although I would like another ACVW site or two, you are just going to lose out on the deal!!! A moerse big part of the ACVWSA community are loyal AircooledVWSA.co.za members... why would they possibly want to join a new, empty forum site when they already have access to a proper one that answers their questions...

Be real, man! We have made it clear a long time ago: If you don't like it here, just don't come here! No one forces you to visit here and take the advice seriously!

I did say it was for mature members  people who accepts that my property is mine to do with what I like! When someone asks for advice on settings, I'm not going to tell him which book to buy, I'm gonna give him what he asks.
For sale or offered sections will be open to all. Use it, don't use it. You might be too young to understand :jerkoff:

I don't want to get involved in this. But here goes. Maturity is not a factor. I hate the use of age as grounds for a general argument, (im a kid.. I get the short end). That out the way. VW would not allow BMW to sell their cars in their showrooms. Ergo Eben's site/forum, eben's General rules. He's sees fit along with the mods, and admin to prevent export. Then thats it. Its his property rights to do that. So yeah. Also ACVWSA is entitled to limit its services. Personally exporting our parts make it worse for us to source items on our soil, thus we get screwed paying ££ and $$ for things that were orig.available cheaply locally. In the economic sense exporting makes you rich faster, but in the long term.. You get screwed. Supply&demand laws... That being said at length hehe. Good on you Samba on increasing the AC community by creating another site. All the luck, and enjoy. It looks good.

Eugene, Not sure what's happened but it's a bad day for this to happen! Not going to say anymore on this thread.

Tom Bishop raised a very good point regarding exporters..

Everyone is worried about exporting busses and bugs but no says anything about someone buying bugs locally stripping them down turfing the body, and using the pan to build Puma's and then EXPORTING them overseas for a HUGE profit!!! I think we have more to worry about then a few busses leaving the country... Like whats happening to all the bugs....

For me I'm with Genie on this... I own it and I will sell what I own to WHOM EVER I WANT and if you dont like it, eat shit and die!! :jerkoff: :finger4u: Or pay the price I'm asking or match the one I've been offered...

This exporter issue is getting very stale guys! Get over it already there is nothing you can do to stoop it. Accept it and move on.. You guys sound like the ANC harping on about apartheid.... :finger4u:

And now that someone starts a new site you shoot him down with comments like posted above.. Grow the f#Ck UP guys!!! :finger4u: Genie I've joined your site and it looks good man!!!

I wish you all the luck bud!!!

I'd rather call it a reason not an excuse.

Honestly, I'm with Vader on this one. Buy and sell where and when you like to whom you will.

But for me it's not so much the exporting that's the problem, the posts on religion and politics get to me. As far as exporting is concerned, I don't like it at all. But I'm mature enough to realize that I don't have the money to counter the GBP.

So I keep my mouth shut, grit my teeth and do my damnedest to earn more.
