How to tell what type engine i have

Post by theqs »

Hi guys, this is not ACVW related, but was wandering how you tell, by site, what size/type of V8 enging i have. Was told when we bought the ElCamino that it had a 327ci chev motor.
Can any one help.

327's & 350's look the same - you have to go by engine numbers apparently. There were some other GM variants as well.
I'm guessing you'd have more luck on another board though- try the African Muscle Car Forum (I don't have URL) or one of the many overseas ones.

1974 year model, but the motor is not the original. But i think i will stick to the beetle for now, lighter on juice and the pocket
